LIghts!

Last night we walked through Rhema for the second year. They decorate with 1.2 million Christmas lights, and somehow it looks like even more! They have thousands of lights set to music and even a tunnel you can walk through with lights dancing overhead. It was soooo cold, but luckily they had hot chocolate to keep us warm. :-) Mimi & PopPop came with us this time, and everyone loved it!

Ice!

Of course, when we went to Great Wolf Lodge, we also had to visit the Gaylord Hotel and their Ice show again! It's just right across the street, and it is awesome! They create an entire story out of sculpted ice, and it is really something to see. Last year, they did the Grinch; this year it was Charlie Brown. At the end of the ice tour, we all went down the giant ice slides, drank coacoa and met Snoopy. So cool!

Great Wolf Lodge

After Thanksgiving, we took our 2nd annual family trip to Great Wolf Lodge. What a blast!!!! We all love the water park with its kiddie pool, wavepool, hot tub, lazy river, and giant water slides. Bryson was much braver this year, doing the medium-sized slides over and over again (he's still not quite tall enough for the big slides Carter loves), and standing under the enormous water bucket when it dumped! Carter couldn't get enough of the big slides and the wave pool. It's such a great place - we're already looking forward to next year! :-)

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, my Grandma & Grandpa Austin came to visit! They drove up all the way from Florida to celebrate with us - what a treat!!! We ate way too much food, watched football, and everyone but the kids & I took a little afternoon nap. Grandpa made balloon animals, hats & swords for the kids, and we had a little nerf gun shoot out. :-) What a great day!!!

Carter's 6th Birthday

Carter turned 6 years old this November. I am so proud of the boy that he is becoming - always thoughtful, so smart, athletic, compassionate, fun-loving & adventurous. On his birthday, we celebrated by going out for dinner with Mimi & PopPop then headed over to the BOK to see an Oilers game. On Saturday, he had a really fun birthday party with all his friends at the bowling alley. We bowled, ate pizza & cake, played games in the arcade & raced go-carts. Happy Birthday, Carter! We love you, big boy!!!

Thanksgiving Feast

One week before Thanksgiving, the pre-k classes celebrated with a feast. Bryson and his class sang a few super cute songs about turkeys and fall (we got it all on video), and B did such a good job! They all looked so cute dressed as Pilgrims & Indians (Bryson was a Pilgrim but insisted that he was an Indian. :-). After the songs, the kids headed over to the commons to share a big feast. It was so cute!

Halloween

This year on Halloween, we went to our neighborhood's parade & picnic. Carter dressed as a fighter jet pilot, and Bryson went as a police man. (Bryson took his role very seriously and was handing out "tickets" like candy!) We decorated the John Deere and drove it down to the duck pond for the picnic. Mimi & PopPop came too, and we all had great time. Afterward, we went trick-or-treating in their neighborhood and in ours. What a fun day!
