This Easter we had a few friends over for a party at our house. We had planned to do lots of outside games and have an inflatable bouncer, but it rained and rained and rained on Easter weekend. Instead, we moved everything into the garage and inside. We decorated eggs, had a spoon race, did a ring toss on bunny ears (that Kevin wore :-), did an Easter egg hunt, and the dads did a sack race outside in the rain!

Spring Break
This year, we had an amazing Spring Break. We rented an RV, and went camping with our wonderful friends Michael & Kristin & their kids, Preslie & Titan. We went to Hot Springs & Branson, and enjoyed every minute of it! We went fishing & hiking, played on playgrounds, had obstacle course races, had a "talent" show, raced go-carts, visited a butterfly palace, went to Silver Dollar City, ate at Lamberts, cooked out, roasted marshmellows, played cards, and just had a TON of FUN!
Nursery Rhyme Theater
Bryson's class has done a couple of super cute programs this year for the parents. The first was "Nursery Rhyme Theater" where all the kids acted out and recited different nursery rhymes. Bryson's was "Little Miss Muffet", and he was the spider who scared her away! In the other program, the class acted out "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly", and Bryson was the very adorable goat. It was such a cute play, and Carter had also been the goat the year before. Both plays were so much fun to watch.
Basketball
The boys both played Upward Basketball this spring. Upward is a great program that teaches kids to always keep their focus on God, even when they're playing sports. Kevin was the assistant coach for both their teams, and they had a lot of fun. Carter scored a handful of goals throughout the season, but he was one of the shorter players (his team was K & 1st grades), so we were always excited when he got the ball. Bryson didn't care much to have the ball, but he almost made a goal in the last game of the season. :-)
Snow Much Fun!
This winter, we had records amount of snow - almost 2 feet overnight! The entire city pretty much closed down for days; the kids were out of school for 2 whole weeks! Kevin started a "snow angel challenge" where he dared all his guy-friends to do a snow angel in only their swimsuits, and take a picture or video. The challenge blew up into something way bigger than any of us could have ever guessed; it very quickly turned church-wide and made the news on 2 different channels. People from other churches started doing it too, and it was practically an epidemic on Facebook. Every few seconds, someone else was trying it. I'm including a picture of the very first one that Kevin ever did here; later I joined in and Kevin made a great video that kept being played and replayed on the news. After a few days, when we could get out of our neighborhood, we went sledding with friends, had a sleepover, baked lots of yummy food, had video game tournaments, and just had so much fun!
