Popsicles!

One of the boys' favorite treats is to have a popsicle in the bathtub. Tonight they happily scarfed down a healthy dinner at the promise of getting popsicles. At bathtime, Carter stripped down, ran to the freezer, opened it, and picked out 2 mini-pops all by himself. Once in the tub, he took bites of his popsicle and finished it quickly while Bryson slowly took licks of his. Carter leaned in close to Brysie and carefully watched every lick. Bryson was dripping orange globs of popsicle onto his chest. Not being able to stand the temptation any longer, Carter swiped his hand across Bryson's chest and licked the juice from his hand. Yum!

Crazy Busy

April has been ridiculously busy for our family. Hopefully I will have more opportunities to blog next month as things slow down a bit. After all these years, Kevin is finally finishing residency. Early this month he signed a contract for his first official job, and we all drove up to sign paperwork and look at houses. The next couple of weeks were spent preparing our home to be listed for sale. When we finally had our house ready for the market, the boys & I went to visit Mimi & PopPop and Nana & PawPaw. It was shown 14 times over 10 days, and then IT SOLD!!! We are so excited!!! We have been praying for months now that our home would sell quickly, and God has blessed us with exactly that. We will have a lot of planning and packing to do over the next 2 months, but the biggest part is behind us. I'm looking forward to spending time with friends and visiting all of our favorite hang-outs a few more times before the big move!

Stunt Man

The little kids weren't the only ones having fun this weekend! Kevin (who is definitely a kid at heart) had plenty of fun, too. Every time I turned around, Kevin was saying, "Watch this!" or "Hey, I bet I can ...." Luckily, I captured most of his stunts on camera!

Gone Fishin'

While visiting Nana & PawPaw's farm, Carter went fishing for the very first time! He caught several fish in a very short time. He loved everything about it - having his own pole, reeling in the fish, and kissing them before throwing them back! Even Brysie wanted in on the fun! :-)

Weekend Trip

This weekend, the 4 of us went to visit Nana & PawPaw. The weather was beautiful, and we had a great time on the family farm. Uncle Keith, Aunt Dona, and their sweet kids were there, too. The little ones all had so much fun riding the tractors, feeding the cows, playing in the sandbox, and blowing bubbles. It was a great weekend!

Date Night

Tonight Kevin & I went to dinner without the kids. We'd like to get out alone together every week, but in reality, it's more like every other week. Tonight (like most of our date nights), we went to our favorite sushi place. The food was yummy, and it was great to catch up with Kevin. He's a great dad, but I love having him all to myself every once in a while! I married a wonderful man, and God's still making him even better.

Fire Trucks!

Today was a big day for Carter. We went to the fire station! The firemen gave us a tour of the station, then showed Carter the fire engine. He got to climb up into the truck and sit inside like a real fireman. He saw where they keep the ladders, hoses, and other emergency equipment on the truck. While we were there, the firefighters were called away to an emergency. Carter's favorite part of the tour was when the men all came running and jumping into their truck, turned on their sirens, and darted away!
