Big Jesus
Tonight I took the boys to the mall to have dinner in the food court with some friends. On the drive there, we were discussing what we might eat for dinner. I'm always telling Carter that if he eats well that he'll grow big. Carter declared, "I want a corndog." I asked, "Are you sure you want a corndog? There might be a healthier choice." He told me, "I'm sure I want a corndog, french fries, tater tots, and ketchup. I need to eat 4 things so I can get big. Real big, like Jesus."

Shoes & Mail
Yesterday we went shoe shopping for Bryson. He LOVES shoes, so he couldn't have had a better day if he'd planned it out himself. We must have gone to 5 different shoe stores, trying on shoes at each one. I'm including a picture of Bryson trying on shoes from Daddy's closet. I remember that Carter also loved shoes when he was Bryson's age. As Kevin would say, "The apple doesn't fall far from the apple." Our kids have a lot in common, so we use this phrase often. :-) The 2nd picture is one of Carter when he was about Bryson's age.
Carter got a letter in the mail yesterday. It was a Thank You card from his friend Zane for coming to his birthday party. Carter was SO excited to get his own mail! He took it to bed at naptime and slept with it. He talked all afternoon about how he got his own letter from his own friend, and it came from the mailman place (the post office), and it was in a green envelope (his favorite color). It's so fun having little ones in the house and to see life through their eyes! For Carter, yesterday was a great day all because of a little green envelope with his name on it!

Fun at the Library
We went to the library this morning to play and listen to stories. The boys always have so much fun there. Carter loves to play the Thomas the train game on the "co-pooter", and we always have to check out the latest Thomas video. Today while Carter played the Thomas game, Bryson sat at the computer nearest Carter's and pushed buttons on the keyboard. They grow up so fast! I was proud of the boys during storytime today. The teacher sang a song about marching, and both of the boys marched around the room. Bryson caught on so fast, and Carter is really beginning to come out of his shell (A year ago, Carter never would have marched around the room with so many people watching). After storytime, we went home for some PBJs. On the way home, Carter exclaims, "Mommy! I have an idea. Let's have a picnic in the living room, and we can watch my new choo-choo movie on TV!" So we did. Life is good!

Where's Bryson?
Last night we were on our way home from a restaurant that was a little out in the country with no bright street lamps lighting up the road. Carter announced, "I can't see Bryson." I turned to look and said, "I can't see him either." "Me neither", chimed in Daddy. "Are we sure Bryson's in the car?", I jokingly asked. "I think he's not", says Carter. "Are you in the car, Bryson?", I asked. In a very meek voice, Bryson says, "No."
