This fall, the boys are playing their first team sport. They are playing flag football together on a 3 & 4 year old team at the Y. They love playing, and Kevin & I love watching! They have so much fun and feel so proud of themselves when they score or pull a flag. Bryson is a little timid, and is happiest when Coach positions him next to Carter. He runs up and down the field without a particular goal in mind. Carter, on the other hand, is all business. He is VERY good at flag pulling and has scored a touchdown in every game so far. The games are non-competitive, so the kids get equal play, they don't keep score, and the game is over when the kids get tired. That being said, our team is whooping up on the other teams!!! ;-) We're all looking forward to the next game!

Bryson's First Day
Carter & Bryson are 19 months apart, but because of the way their birthdays fall, they will only be 1 year apart in school! Bryson seems so little, but he will be starting pre-k next year! We enrolled him in a Mother's Day Out program to get him ready for "real school" (Carter did the same program last year). Yesterday was his first day, and it was really tough to drop him off. All day long I missed him and looked forward to picking him up, but he did awesome! His teachers said he was friendly and perfectly behaved. He peed in the potty (a first away from me!) and let the teachers know when he needed anything (they said this is very unusual in the 3 year old class). He was excited to be "a big boy like Carter!" and go to school. He's already ready to go back! :-)
Sew Fun
This week I got a wild hair to start sewing clothes for the boys! I started by just sewing oversized pockets onto a pair of jeans for a little extra flair on their Halloween outfits. They turned out so cute! I went back to Hobby Lobby "just to see" what other fabrics they had, and I was like a kid in a candy store! I ended up making them these monster trucks outfits (my first time to ever make clothes!), and I'm already thinking about my next project. It's SEW FUN!!!
P.S. Please excuse the bad case of bed-head! I was up late finishing their outfits and couldn't wait to try them on them this morning!
